Automotive Sales Representative
SUMMARY
Sells automobiles by understanding and demonstrating vehicle characteristics, capabilities, and features in addition to developing and qualifying buyers and closing sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
- Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedures to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive
- Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities and features and explaining warranties and services
- Satisfies the transportation needs of the buyer by understanding buyer's requirements and interests and by developing rapport with the customers
- Completes quotes and explains financing options in accordance with established dealership policies
- Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features
- Follow up with prospective customers and return email/voicemail
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest and percentages
- Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software and internet proficiency
- Excellent appearance, verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
EDUCATION
High School degree or equivalent preferred
Valid Driver's license that meets dealership insurability requirements
EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate must have a strong desire to succeed. Our automotive sales representatives come from a variety of backgrounds and industries. You don't have to have automotive sales experience to be successful but you should have experience providing exceptional customer service and previous sales experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to walk the sales lot and showroom to review inventory, and greet customers for at least 8-12 hours in a shift
Must be able to drive company vehicles

Service Advisor
SUMMARY
Schedules and sells needed service work in the service department while providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Schedules service appointments
- Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner
- Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order
- Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
- Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customer regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
- Receive authorizations from manufacturer for any prior approvals needed
- Contact extended warranty for coverage/approvals
- Verify any warranty coverage before repairs
- Checks on open recalls on any product
- Properly fill out contact when needed
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate
- Explains completed work and all charges to customers
- Maintains high customer satisfaction standards
- Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid driver's license with a company acceptable driving record
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts
- Must have simple math and typing skills
- Must maintain a professional appearance
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE
2 years of experience as a Service Advisor in a Ford dealership preferred
Experience using ADP Dealer Services Software a plus

Parts Advisor
SUMMARY
The Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting all mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies.  The Parts Advisor is also responsible for achieving monthly sales and gross forecasts and for seeking out and soliciting parts business
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for a dealership
- Locating available parts when the dealership is out of stock
- Handling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department and collision repair shop.Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturer from time to time, and completing the appropriate record keeping
- Referring to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in an auto parts sales role
- Must have computer proficiency
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Valid driver's license
